Weard Girdag Langat
Weard Langat is a first-degree wizard and junior instructor at Nightfire's Academy. While he is one of the newest members of the faculty, he was among the oldest of his classmates to earn the green, having enrolled in Flasten Palus Academy only after serving for twelve years as a mapmaker. He is especially interested in documenting aspects of the everyday life of mundane Mar, though he has quite a bit of knowledge that only a veteran mapmaker could have learned. The Encyclopedia is his first scholarly project.
