Hundred Years' Peace (ca. 900 - Wainat 14, 998 I.D.)
While the Kalkorae and their tribal allies had completely surrounded the remnants of the Totanbeni Empire a century earlier, they had failed to destroy the remnants of the Totanbeni and the Erden. By 900 I.D., the Kalkorae and the Hundred Tribes stopped their wasteful assaults and set out instead to besiege the entire empire over the course of a few generations. The wints returned to their villages to strengthen their patron deities by conserving their magical power and increasing their populations. The Kalkorae erected a blockade around the Totanbeni holdings that consisted of thousands of small outposts with little space between them, supported by a vast infrastructure of harvesters and conduits.
The Totanbeni and Erden did not idly watch as their enemy built up this hedge. The Kalkorae suffered many casualties during this century of siege, though these were nothing compared to the bloodshed of the previous centuries. It seemed clear the Totanbeni were at the end of their strength. After three generations, the Hundred Tribes announced that their gods were ready to do battle with Tot and Erd. The Kalkorae and their allies soon massed a vast army along the southern border of the Totanbeni perimeter.
